Just popping in with a progress update.
The fairy is coming along really well, and here is the scary part of the process, where it could all go horribly wrong. So I have put her on hold for a few days and I'm working on other paintings while I gather up the courage to finish the shading on her face. I am trying out a technique from Kelly Rae Roberts "Taking Flight" book, and I'm not so sure about how it's working. We shall see...

ReplyDeletei have two suggestions. first, take a break from the piece of work and perhaps you will have some fresh ideas when you come back to it. secondly, make a rough copy of the work and try out some different techniques. you may surprise yourself with what you come up with, and you won't have ruined the work if you didn't like your first try : ) good luck with what you decide to do with it, it looks lovely so far.
