Inspiration Avenue Challenge - Once Upon a Time

Hello Blogland,

So the Inspiration Avenue Challenge this week is all about fairy creatures, so this is the perfect time for me to introduce Fairy # 8. Much like this fairy, I frequently feel the need for some alone time, which is hard to come by as a stay-at-home mom. Moments of the day when I don't have to think about anyone else are rare jems in my life that I treasure.

In fairy news, I am currently working on Fairies 9 and 10, so I think I am going to reach my goal of 12 fairies done by the end of the year. Phew!

Coming up on Friday, I will have some more images from the Buntzen Lake photo day on the weekend. Don't forget that the Music Monday challenge this week "She Loves You, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" is open until Saturday night.

Have a beautiful day!

  1. Well it looks like she's enjoying her 'me time' before the fairy brood return flapping their wings in excitement. Bet she'll be thrilled to see them too :)

  2. Very cool! Love the way the metal sculpture frames her!

  3. I relate to your piece. I agree with the need for some alone time. And I can say that as time and life goes on, it does happen more. It looks like the fairy is relaxing and will be ready for whatever comes next.

  4. #8 is just perfect! i'll have to go back and visit her predecessors when i recoup from posting the challenge!

  5. I could use some of this myself. What an awesome addition to the IA challenge. Right up your alley, I believe.

  6. as a stay at home mommy, totally get these sentiments-congrats on reaching your goal for the year.

  7. Excellent! I love this & can complete relate to the words.

I've been enjoying looking around your blog. Good to meet you via IA. The Fairy tales theme was only my second week but I've been introduced to plenty of inspirational people.

    Kat :-)
