And I was thinking about how many of us parents are shamelessly using Santa's imminent arrival in an attempt to control our children's behavior this holiday season. So for today's Kind Act, I thought we could try to follow our own advice, and spend the day speaking only kind words to the people around us. This can be hard to do in the middle of the holiday stress, especially in this last stretch where many are running to finish the last of the shopping, and there seems to be so much to do every day. It's not an easy thing to do, especially if you are the parent of a toddler ;) So the aim is not to be hard on ourselves if we don't manage this every moment of the day, but to be mindful in the moment and try to come back to that place if we find ourselves slipping.
