Every Moment Tells a Story

One reason I love photography is that it forces me to slow down and look around, to truly see what is around me. I know I talk about mindfulness a lot here, but it is because I need to remind myself constantly;) My default mode is "hamster wheel", always looking ahead, always planning the next moment. Then I see something and think, I have to get my camera. And suddenly I am right there. Present in the moment. It is the best form of meditation I know.

This image is for Texture Tuesday, on the theme STORY. Follow the link for more amazing artwork.
Have a beautiful day!

P.S. For those who are interested, I used Kim's Grey Day Slate texture on this image.

  1. yes, i agree that photography makes us slow down and notice things around us. i get so caught up in my daily life that it is such a treat to leave everything behind and take my camera out for a long walk in the woods. your spiderweb is beautiful!
