December 17 – Lesson Learned What was the best thing you learned about yourself this past year? And how will you apply that lesson going forward? (Author: Tara Weaver)
I have learned that I need to create EVERY DAY in order to be truly happy. When I am not creating, I can be really grumpy. This is a really important realization for me. It tells me that my true purpose in life is to be creating constantly. Everything else can wait. The dishes, the errands, will always be there. But who knows how long any of us have here? I want to leave something behind. If I died tomorrow, I would like my son to know that I truly lived my joy every day, so that when he grows up he can find out what he is passionate about and do that every day.
What have you done lately that brought you great joy?

I learned that I am capable of making difficult choices without knowing what the outcome might be. Perhaps in my art, I can apply that courage to try new things without getting too hung up on whether or not it will turn out a certain way. Good food for thought!
ReplyDeleteWith every decision we make in life there is a reaction. When our focus is positive there is a negative, however its our decision to take on the negative. As Wayne Dyer has taken on lukema and lived with it without pain or treatment because understands it's a part of him so he doesn't fight it. When you stop fighting the negative you become more positive. That is when your creative spirit shines. So let it grow with you and let it go with with the negative.

I have learned this same lesson and I am much happier for it. Journalling is a big part of the answer. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your photography. The lighting is so carefully considered. Yummy stuff.
